• NAPD offers many leadership training opportunities. Below is a comparison of 2 of our online instructor facilitated courses. Both courses are excellent and we encourage you to take both. They can be taken in any order.

    Next Level Leadership Course: Ideal for leaders at any stage of their journey who want to transform their leadership style and elevate their impact. This 7-week course focuses on self-reflection, values-driven decision-making, and project-based learning to build resilience, emotional intelligence, and a personalized leadership growth plan. Small group meetings are led by transformational leadership experts with a focus on building confidence and skills to lead with purpose and impact.


    Effective Coaching, Team Work, and Case Review Course: Designed for defender leaders and supervisors, this course emphasizes coaching and team development to improve client outcomes. Participants will learn practical skills such as offering effective feedback, conducting case reviews, and creating performance agreements. The 7-week program includes confidential small group discussions tailored to real-world challenges in public defense supervision.


    Both courses provide interactive, expert-led learning experiences, but Next Level Leadership is for those focused on overall leadership transformation, while Effective Coaching targets leaders seeking tools to refine their coaching and supervisory skills.
