Robin Steinberg Delivers Powerful TED Talk on Injustice of Money Bail

As many of you know, Robin Steinberg, founder of The Bronx Defenders, stepped down from her organization last year to launch The Bail Project, a new national bail fund and initiative to combat pretrial incarceration. Two weeks ago, Robin delivered a powerful talk at the TED conference on the urgency of this issue and her ambitious plan for The Bail Project: 40 sites over the next 5 years, each with the capacity to bail out 1000 people annually. The Bail Project is on a mission to bail out as many people as possible and demonstrate money bail is not only unjust, but also unnecessary.
