Amy Wilson has been a public defender for twenty years and a child advocate her entire career. While in school, she worked for the CASA and the Department of Juvenile Services. After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law with honors in 1996, she went on to work for the Office of the Public Defender in Maryland. She has been in the Baltimore City Juvenile Division for the past seventeen of those years. In her various roles working with children, Ms. Wilson was able to identify gaps in services and felt compelled to develop a program to serve a particularly vulnerable population: children of incarcerated parents.
