IT Director, Knoxville Community Law Office (Knoxville, KY)

Issac Merkle is the Director of Information Technology at Knoxville’s Community Law Office, where he’s been employed since 1996. His responsibilities range from information modeling, software development, and statistical analysis to graphic design, crime scene documentation, and desktop support. He has developed several solutions to aid attorneys in collaboration, large case preparation, and presentation. He has presented his work to the Tennessee Public Defenders Conference, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the US DOJ’s Office of Justice Programs. He leads “mad science” workshops as part of the CLO’s “The Zone” youth program. He currently serves as Creative Director of Knox Makers, a hackerspace in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
