Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Public Defender at the Essex County Public Defender’s Office located in Elizabethtown, NY. The Assistant Public Defender will be responsible for representing clients in criminal defense cases, providing legal assistance, and advocating for clients in courts. Day-to-day tasks will include case preparation, conducting legal research, drafting motions, appearing at hearings, and managing caseloads.
