Requirements
Applicants must be a member of the Bar, in good standing, of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 3Ls and recent law school graduates who have not yet been admitted to the Bar are encouraged to apply. However, continued employment is contingent on admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Successful candidates will otherwise demonstrate commitment to the values and service of public defense. Candidates should have knowledge of Pennsylvania criminal law and other relevant legal procedures, as well as the ability to write effectively and argue points of law and facts zealously and persuasively. Candidates should demonstrate skill in the analysis of cases and legal opinions, trial and/or Appellate practice, and plea negotiations.
