The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is looking for a lawyer who has a heart for the underdog and a desire to be the best lawyer in the courtroom. As a Public Defender in our office, you will be zealously defending the rights of the rural poor, handling serious felony cases, and gaining more hands-on trial experience in your first two years than you would in a decade at a large firm.

Starting Salary: $75,000
Total First-Year Compensation: A robust total benefits package valued at over $100,000, including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, 401k matching, retirement plans, and paid bar dues/memberships.
Student Loan Forgiveness: This position qualifies for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
