NAPD Welcomes Mary Hotovy Membership & Core Staff Resource Coordinator
NAPD extends a warm welcome to Mary Hotovy, our new Membership and Core Staff Resource Coordinator. Mary brings with her over twenty years of dedicated experience in government and non-profits. Throughout her diverse career, Mary has always defined herself as an advocate first.
She spent fifteen years as the Lead Service Coordinator at Heartly House, a non-profit dedicated to serving victims and survivors of power-based violence, and three years working with juveniles in one of Sheppard Pratt’s residential treatment centers before joining the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in 2016. She immediately felt at home in the Public Defense community and identified with the mission of justice, dignity, and fairness for ALL.
At MOPD, she was the Lead Intake Coordinator serving two counties before taking on the statewide role of Core Staff & Technology Applications Trainer from 2020 through 2024. She looks forward to continuing to support non-attorney members of the defense team in her new role at NAPD. When not championing a cause, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in the arts, and getting outdoors. She is based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
