Family Court Attorney

The Schenectady County Public Defender’s Office conducts continuous recruitment for all levels of attorneys. The salary for the Senior Assistant Public Defender Position for 2024 is $90,838.00 with an additional stipend for after hour arraignments. This position includes: health insurance, vacation and personal leave, and membership in the New York State Retirement System. Candidates must be willing to move into Schenectady County within one year of employment and be admitted to practice in the State of New York.
